The HBCU-ISACTM will serve HBCU member institutions by promoting cybersecurity operational protection and response.
HBCU-ISACTM member institutions will benefit from threat intelligence and other automated data collection and sharing tools to enable informed decisions about threats and events and peer assessment services to improve the institution’s overall security posture. In addition, the HBCU-ISACTM also
fosters the building of operational relationships and functional networks through several educational events and cybersecurity response exercises to facilitate trust. Working groups and committees focus on topics and activities of importance to the sector. A shared services portal will provide the support functions required to protect the HBCU ecosystem and its business units, utilizing a well-defined infrastructure to
enable higher-value service delivery for the benefit of all.

Joining the HBCU-ISACTM is free, and membership is open to all HBCUs. The only requirement is agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, which outlines a member’s responsibilities to protect shared information. The HBCU-ISACTM will offer members daily cybersecurity news reports, alertsand advisories, analysis reports of cybersecurity threats and mitigation, and an active, interested community of subject matter experts who provide feedbackon practices and standards. We foster professional training and development through monthly webinars and regional workshops. HBCU-ISACTM will act as a cleared Network Security Operations Center and deploy Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) for the HBCU member institutions
